The Reception Perception
Assalamualaikum and peace be upon you,
So I am about to be having my wedding reception after almost 4 years tying the knot with my current husband. Yes, current! Grr.. I am pretty sure if you are a girl who is reading this, you have planned and dreamt of a wonderful wedding day since you were 4 years old. I do to. So why didn't I have one after my nikah? Well, it was because my in laws did not approve of one. They are so chicken shit afraid of the godly sponsors. This is just so sickening because, getting married and being happy is HUMAN rights. How can that be taken away by a piece of paper? They are even laws made to accommodate gay marriages but students, na-ah.. Ridiculous.
So finally after the long wait, I think I was patient enough to wait, despite the slandering and back-talks that I had received. Alhamdulillah neways... I am finally going to have my reception, inshallah..But now I have a few more rising problems and guess what, I am ALONE in arranging this function, might as well be dead.
Since everything was uploaded onto my shoulder from the start, I want to just dump it all now. I don't get to wear what I want, I don't get to make the place like I want, I don't get to sit with whom I want, what's the point? If its not going to be MY DAY... then what the h*ll is the point? Am not going to discuss with the hall, or the caterer.. or whatever.. hah, might not even show up on the day itself. Am so sick of people giving me RESTRICTIONS yet no help received whatsoever.

I am going to be the loneliest, ugliest, and most unhappy bride in the world.
Yours truly,
Shereen
