Must try food in Osaka and Kyoto

Assalamualaikum and hello there!

How is Ramadhan treating you all? I am doing it better than last year, Inshallah.

Fun fact : I forgot I have a blog.

Is that even possible? * wide eye*

Sometimes, I could not sleep and I will stay up until my body crashes. Usually its because I am nervous about something recent.  In this instance however, I am not sure of what per se.

Am I worried Ramadhan is going to end?

Nah. Huh?

Hehe. Anyways, I have been holding off this post for too long, it has actually passed a year and more!
So here are my recommended food to savour when and if you go to Japan, exclusively Osaka or Kyoto!

I actually found this in the normal convenience store and it was sooo good! Light and crispy on the outside and tangy and smooth on the inside <3 There were many more options but I tried this because my husband loves oranges and mangoes.

Bakeries, right and left! I didn't buy these because I don't know if I could eat all that I had bought already. xD

Yuzu paste for tea. Basically, its sold in supermarkets and you take a spoonful of it and mix it with hot water. Hmm.. gonna take a break here and make some green tea. * sudden craving* will continue..

Right! I'm back! Okay, these are like the best and freshest strawberries I have ever tasted!

I ordered this at the Kuromon market where they sell fresh fish and cook them for you. Since I was alone at that time, I ordered the squid as it was smaller and cheaper.

This puts America to shame. It was at the Osaka train terminal, I think and they had literally every kind of bagels. Even Panera can't beat this. =P

MORE breads and pasties of all kinds!

This was a vegetarian udon I got at Kyoto while sight seeing, if I am not mistaken. Hahaha..

Borong jgn tak borong. I can eat that again and again and again.

Grilled goods and fresh side dishes at Kuromon market

I wish I had more time to give all these drinks a go! Subhanallah!

The first meal I had after landing at the airport. Melon pan and green tea. =)

OMG! If you love fruit and custard, you must try this! It is soo delicious! You can find it in any convenient store and its cheap.

One of the best eating experience in my life, Mashallah. I ate this at a train station. Its so memorable and delicious that sometimes I dream of it in my sleep. Not kidding. #truestory

I kinda regretted trying this one because, the 'SAUCE' in the metal container was used to dip other kinds of fried stuff, so I had to eat mine plain. Blah.

This was at Dotonbori street and it was soo good especially when it gets cold in Japan and you are hungry and you need something quick. =)

A higher end version of the fruity custardy creamy sandwich. Even typing that felt sinful. Hahaha

These are Dango. Matcha and sakura dango. Sort of sticky flavoured rice balls.

The first dinner I ate at a local shop called SUKIYA. Unagi, or eel with rice and semi raw egg. I like 'em raw! RAWR!

I can cry right now, remembering their easy and healthy packed food. Who needs to cook when your convenience store sells these? =')

Hahaha funny story.. I actually ordered this, TWICE because it was cold, and I was hungry and it was delicious. I think it was at a fast food chain restaurant.

Ah.. this is Japan's sweets suitable for tea but I was so impatient, I finished it in minutes. xD Its actually red bean mochi with rice wrapped with sakura leaf. Amaze balls.

Can you FEEL my love for strawberries already? XD Common now, its like the third picture of it.

My first shinkansen bento box. Alhamdulillah. Very filling and too healthy for my stomach. I need a karipap to balance it out. =)

Okay, enough about food; especially writing this in Ramadhan, maybe because I don't get to eat as much, hence, filling the emptiness by writing about food. The human mind can't be any simpler than this. Am I right? Tee hee. Okay its almost 2 am. Gotta force myself to sleep. Need to work early tomorrow.

Hope this benefits you! Make dua' I get to travel to Japan again with my beloved! <3

Ps: I ate more than the ones that I have listed but I have lost some of the pictures. Obviously! xD
