In all my heart, I am a Japanese

Assalamualaikum,

Since the year they released the 'Long Vacation' japanese movie that had Ryoko Hirosue, I was instantly and loyally hooked to Japanese culture.
Back in high school, I even took Japanese language for 4 years. >_<

So today, I had to run some errands (bank/spectacle shop/ bla2 ) at Stratford so I decided to do a quick detour at this Japanese shop/cafe. And to my surprise they have 50% off some of their fresh bakes! My hubby would go crazy with the green teas stuff. Anything with green tea, MUST BUY!

However, what caught my eye was this Mont Blanc cake that I saw Mosogourmet (Youtube) made once. It was pretty cool and tedious in process. They used halal ingredients, so I bought it along with Pokka Blueberry tea and 3 Inari's for me to eat tomorrow (Actually just ate 1 while blogging. *must remind self that sushi is not a snack* #commonsense ). I made some delicious chicken Katsu yesterday. Pics below. The secret to a successful chicken Katsu is actually the white egg; it glues the panko well with the chicken. =P

I am training myself to become a cheap person, OBVIOUSLY because I am not one. Well I can name a few who are really good at being cheap. But will self -refrain myself for now. Haha
One of the tips of becoming a cheap person is they always buy discounted food and even then they'll ask for discounts.
Oh, Lord... what am I to become?

Well these Katsu's is the most successful ones. Not burned black and juicy as well. The vegetables are sautéed mushrooms, tomatoes and asparagus.
Not bad horrr

Till then,
Oyasuminasai
Jya!
